Accessibility Statement
Last updated August 2026
This site aims to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What's in place
- A "skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
- Semantic landmarks (navigation, main content, footer) for screen reader navigation.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on every link, button, and interactive control.
- Text and background colors checked to meet a 4.5:1 contrast ratio.
- Descriptive alt text on every meaningful image; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- The scrolling quotes section can be paused with a visible control, not just by hovering.
- Motion and parallax effects are reduced automatically if your operating system has "reduce motion" turned on.
- All content and controls are operable by keyboard alone.
Known limitations
None known at this time. This site was last checked against WCAG 2.1 A/AA with an automated audit in August 2026, and no violations were found. Automated testing can't catch everything, so if you hit a barrier that isn't listed here, please report it below.
Third-party content
Book purchases happen on Amazon, which maintains its own accessibility standards independently of this site.
